On Sunday February 13 we were at the Market Girl Market in Joondalup. There was a wonderful selection of stalls there all with beautiful, beautiful products!

This weekend (Sunday) we will be at the Craigie Leisure Centre from 9am - 12pm, with the Treasure Hunt Markets. Come along and say Hi!

What is sand art? Sand art is a unique way for
children to create amazing artwork using our bright coloured sands and precut adhesive sand cards.You simply remove sections of the adhesive card cover and sprinkle over the brightly coloured sands. No glue or scissors are required! We have sand art designs to suit both boys and girls.

Playsand will be at the Subiaco Craft Fair this coming Sunday. Look for the PLAYSAND tent to purchase Take Home Kits, Im Bored Packs, or let the kids complete their Sand Art masterpiece on the day!

With 200 stalls, entertainment and great food, the Subiaco Craft and Community Fair is the ideal way to enjoy a family day out while looking for something special to buy, especially with Christmas approaching fast.

Treat yourself to a delicious lunch, all the while taking the time to admire the magnificent surroundings of Matilda Bay and the University grounds.

Beautiful surroundings, extraordinary handcrafts, tranquil grounds, foreshore and river are some of the attractions.

Gates are open to the public from 9 am to 4 pm. An entry donation is payable to assist local charities and community projects and ample free parking is available.

Everyone attending the Fair receives a free ticket in the giant Stallholders’ Promotional Raffle, which showcases the quality of the craft available for sale. There are several draws during the day with hundreds of dollars worth of prizes.

This year, the event promises to be bigger and better, so don’t miss out.

PLAYSAND has been out and about a lot over the last month. Some highlights include another glorious day at the Old Perth Road Markets Bassendean These markets are getting bigger each month with a huge variety of stalls. These markets are held on the last Sunday of each month.

Please note: Playsand will not be at the November markets, you can find us at The Subiaco Rotary Craft Fair at UWA on Sunday 31 October from 9am - 4pm

Last Saturday we were back at the Handmade Childrens Markets in Melville. There was an amazing collection of Handmade goodies just for kids. My favourite stalls were The Candy Tree, who specialise in unique, stylish, affordable childrens party hire packages, Sweet Sorella Cakes whos birthday cake designs are out of this world, and The Natural Newborn who have beautiful natural products for your baby, and the environment.

Last Saturday we went along to the opening of the Handmade Markets in Melville. There was such an amazing variety of stalls to suit little boys and girls. These markets run monthly and are definately worth visiting.

What a glorious day! Sunday the 28th August was the first day of the Old Perth Road Markets. The streets were a buzz with shoppers and stallholders! We had an absolute ball!

WOW.. I must apologise! Our weeks have been so busy lately that our BLOG has been neglected. We have been super busy packing orders for customers during the week and our weekends have been spent meeting lots of new Kids, Mums and Dads at Birthday Parties.

April and May seem to be busy months for Birthdays too.. I would like to say a Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those children who have booked PLAYSAND for the up coming month!

Due to popular request we have now added our 'DIY Birthday Party Packs' on our Online Shopping Page.

Our Party Box for 15 Children is $125.00. Each additional child can be added to either of these packages for $8.50 per child.

As an additional option we also have our LARGE Playsand Containers available for hire. These empty containers are available for pickup only, unfortunately they are not possible to be posted. They come in a set of 10 which allows 8 containers to transfer your sand into, and 2 containers for rubbish. The set to hire is $25. Please note - This is an optional extra only, the sand containers in your pack are more than suitable for use!

Tour DePerth - Perry Lakes

Last weekend we went along to the Tour DePerth Cycling Event at Perry Lakes. It was amazing watching the cyclists fly around the corners on their bikes without falling off! They had a junior event which was great too. The first race was a race from Perry Lakes down to the ocean and around up to Perry Lakes again. Im not sure how many laps they had to do but it totalled 102 kms, with LOTS of big hills.I was exhausted just thinking about it. Anyway, here are a few photos I took on the day :)

Next weekend we will be visiting lots of Special Birthday Children. Happy Birthday to Mathew (7), Kiara (6) and Rachel (9). We are looking forward to seeing the masterpieces you and your friends create at your parties!

Mercy Primary School Market Day

We went along to Mercy Catholic Primary School's Market Day on the 1st of November. What a gorgeous school it was, and what a FAB day we had! Here are some photos from the day. It is really great to see so many kids of different ages being creative little artists. I especially love seeing the concentration on the boys faces!

This Sunday we will be at Perry Lakes from 9am till 5pm for the Tour DePerth. I hope to see you there!

What a fabulous day we had today! The weather was gorgeous, and the atmosphere was fantastic. So many families came out to the craft fair which was so wonderful to see.

Subiaco Craft Fair

PLAYSAND will be at the Subiaco Craft Fair on Sunday the 25th October.

The Subiaco Craft and Community Fair is a community project of the Rotary Club of Matilda Bay.

With over 200 stalls, entertainment, and great food, The Subiaco Craft and Community Fair is the ideal way to enjoy a day out while looking for something special to buy.

Take home fresh local produce or treat yourself with delicious lunches, all while taking the time to admire the magnificent surrounding of Matilda Bay and the University grounds.Beautiful surroundings, extraordinary handcrafts, tranquil grounds, foreshore and river are some of the attractions.

Gates are open to the public from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.Everyone attending the Fair receives a free ticket in the giant Stallholder’s Promotional Raffle which showcases the quality of the craft available for sale. There are several draws during the day with hundreds of dollars worth of prizes.

The VenueThe Oak Lawn at the University of WA provides stallholders with a wonderful site. Views of the river, the city and the foreshore make this a unique venue. The vista of Matilda Bay provides a backdrop for a very pleasant day out.

PLAYSAND will be at Stall number 61 so bring the kids along and visit us. Our tables will be set up so the kids can create their PLAYSAND masterpiece to take home to show family and friends.

Hosted Play Sand Party - from $11.00 per child (min 15 children)

We come to you with our PLAYSAND products and take care of everything. Each child will be given step by step instructions to create their PLAYSAND masterpiece.
Each child will complete 2 medium PLAYSAND cards of their choice which are then laminated ready for display.
